LEAH SHARIBU: Religious Leaders Seek Release of School Girl

The Federal Government has been urged to work for the release of Leah Sharibu from the Boko Haram’s captivity.

The call was made by the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, IDFP in Abuja.

It will be recalled that Leah, who was kidnapped a year ago, alongside some female students of Dapchi Girls Secondary School in Yobe State, has been held, while other were rescued.

The co-chairmen of the IDFP, Bishop Sunday Onuoha and Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, said they would continue to appeal for Leah’s release.

Sanni, represented by a co-secretary of the forum, Ibrahim Yahaya, said: “We believe that government is doing their best to make sure that she is returned back”.

Onuoha said: “The case of Leah is very dear to us. We pray for her released and we believed she will be released.”
