She made this known while reacting to comments she got from some men after sharing a clip of a movie “Stronger Than Yesterday” on her Instagram page.

The ever stunning actress said, “I posted a video, I think that was yesterday, a click from a movie where a woman entered her house and she saw her husband making out with the girlfriend.

“Now, a lot of people saw the video and I saw a lot of comments that I even have to respond to some people to put them in their place. For me posting that video clip was not to promote any form of domestic violence.

” For so many years, movies from Nigeria and Africa will portray the woman all the time as victim.

“The way that scene would play out in a lot of our movies is not what that clip showed us, the movie would play out in such a way that the man will kick the wife out or he will insult the wife or beat her. It now became a norm.

“In our culture, in Africa, in Nigeria is a norm for a man to just slap his wife or beat his wife and some people think is okay, people think is fine, it is not.

“I put that clip just because I saw a different kind of movie and I was loving it. I love the fact, yes for so many decades we make films always we show the woman as the weak one and as the victim.”

She stated further that the reason for posting such clip is not to promote violence.

She added, “And like I said, I’m not here to promote violence, realjoseph, is so clear because you are a man, you are coming here to open your mouth to say violence against women and men is wrong.

“Nobody is saying is right but you are talking now because it’s the other way round. We’ve seen films over the decade how men would slap women or treat their wives in a bad way.

“Have you ever come to talk about it, Mister Joseph? Have you ever in your life opened your phone to use your platform and your inching fingers to talk about it and warn men to stop hitting women?

“You have never, but because the roads are reversed all the men are coming out to say is not good, every woman that’s supporting this you are supporting violence.

“We are not supporting violence but you know what I’m supporting? I’m supporting every woman to be able to stand up for herself.

“If you have an opportunity to learn martial arts for self-defense, learn it. So that any man that wants to lay hand on you, molest you or rape you or whatever, at least have a skill in your life to be able to push them, strike and run for help if you will see help.

“In the culture where we come from, when you go out there and say oh my husband beat me, my husband rape me they will turn it around and make you the perpetrator, you that’s the victim, you will be traumatized, and you will be victimized.”
