Lil Kesh Confirms YBNL Departure

The news of their business separation has been subject of rumours, with the rapper confirming the report via his Instagram page on Tuesday.

The Shoki singer signed a two-year contract with YBNL CEO Olamide in April 2014, and has now confirmed the expiration of the deal.

He however, insisted YBNL remains his family and management for life, adding that there is no bad blood between him and his former boss.

In a follow-up post Olamide also confirmed Lil Kesh’s departure in an Instagram post.

The YBNL boss indicated that Kesh’s contract expired weeks ago as it was a 2-year contract, adding that the bond between them is forever.

Since signing on to YBNL, Lil Kesh has been on the rise, releasing numerous videos and hit tracks including Shoki, Efejoku and Lyrically.

The singer has since moved out of Olamide’s residence on Lagos Mainland, relocating to his personal home on the Island (Chevron Drive), where he set up a personal studio to enhance production of his music.

Kesh released his first studio album ‘Y.A.G.I’ in March 2016, under the YBNL imprint.
