The website chester.linkinpark.com, features suicide prevention information including phone numbers for the US services Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Crisis Text Line.

The site also doubles as a place where fans can pay tribute to the singer.

The Los Angeles rap-rock band was set to begin a North American tour next week in Boston, but cancelled it.

Bennington had struggled with depression and substance abuse throughout his life. He also appeared to be deeply impacted by the loss of Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who was his very good friend.
