Magnus Abe Wins APC Guber Primary In Rivers State

Senator Magnus Abe was on Saturday declared the winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Rivers State.

Abe who is the Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District was declared the winner on Sunday after he got 144, 929 votes.

He wasfollowed by Lulu Briggs who got 3,444, Dawari George got 1,606 and Tonye Cole got 882.

Recall that Abe had threatened to boycott the governorship primary if his party, the APC, had failed to adopt the direct primary system in the state.

Abe gave the threat when his faction of the APC held a rally in Bori, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers on Thursday.
