MainaGate: Abba Kyari, Oyo-Ita In Heated Argument Over Buhari’s Indictment

Reports just reaching the WHISTLER have it that the chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari and the Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita engaged in a heated argument at the presidential villa.

The argument, which occurred shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting, may not be unconnected to her alleged indictment of president Buhari in the recall of the former Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Pension, Abdulrasheed Maina to the civil service and his alleged promotion to the rank of a director in the ministry of Interior.

Recall that Oyo-Ita, in the leaked memo, alleged that Buhari was aware of the reinstatement of Maina, adding that she had warned the president against the controversial recall of the embattled former pension boss.

The heated exchange which lasted for about ten minutes, was witnessed by all those who were in the council chambers for the twin ceremony of the swearing-in of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the launch 2018 armed forces emblem and the council members who were seated for the Federal Executive Council meeting.

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari were seen questioning Oyo-Ita, while the HoS was seen angrily gesticulating in her response.

The Head of Service went back to her seat and then rose again and headed straight to Osinbajo, who also engaged her discussion.
