Maitama Sule Replaced As Northern Elders’ Forum Chairman
Following his demise In Cairo last week, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule has been replaced as Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum.
Sule, who died aged 88, has been replaced by Mr. Paul Unongo.

His replacement was announced in a statement by Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Terkimbi Ikyang.
“The North is in dire of good leaders that will redirect its focus. We want you to provide good leadership that will chart a new path for it,” said Ikyang.
The Benue Speaker further said Alhaji Zangon Daura has been elected Deputy Chairman, as former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Ango Abduallhi, remains spokesman of the Forum.
“Your emergence is divine and well deserved; you have committed your life to serve Nigeria and its people, so this recognition is a challenge for you to do more,” Ikyang added.
