Makarfi Declares PDP’s National Convention Open

The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, whose tenure was on Wednesday extended by one year, has declared the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) open.
The party, while disclosing this via twitter, said that the convention was moved to Adokiye Amasiemeka stadium, Omagwa.
The new venue was agreed upon following the emergency meeting held at the government house Port Harcourt after the initial venue was sealed off by policemen.
