Malami Is Nigeria’s Most Outstanding Icon Of Unity – Ohaneze Youth Wing

A group known as Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Worldwide (Youth Wing), has conferred the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN with a Hero’s Award of Excellence describing him as the “Most Outstanding Icon of Unity and Peaceful Co-existence in Nigeria.”

This was disclosed in a letter jointly signed by the President of the group, Obiora Arthur and the Speaker of Ohanaeze Youth Parliament (OYP), Rt. Hon. Anya S. Anya.

The group said that Malami deserved the award because of his “massive youth empowerment cutting across ethnic nationalities without sentiments, jingoism and ethnicism”.

The Oba of Ekeoba, Umuahia North, Abia State, Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna, also conferred a chieftaincy title on the AGF for his leadership role in governance.

“I, His Royal Kingship, Gidi n’oba, Eze (Amb.) Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna Oba the Great of Ekeoba Ancient Kingdom in total agreement with my Ohuhu Cabinet Umuahia have deemed it very necessary to confer one of the most revered Chieftancy Title of the land “Dike Eji AGA MBA” of Ekeoba Ancient Kingdom on you,” Nwokenna said in a statement dated March 31.

Furthermore, our correspondent learnt that the management of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology plans to name a proposed university’s new Faculty of Law auditorium after Malami.

The institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles Eze revealed this in a statement, adding that the AGF will also receive a Honorary Doctorate Degree.

“It is in recognition of your aforesaid enduring selfless services to humanity, thereof, and as a motivating way of encouraging you to do more and also bearing in mind that the only reward for hard work is more work, the Management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology has come to an inevitable conclusion to honour you by naming a befitting physical building structure in the University after your great name which will stand the test of time,” he said.
