Man, 46, Allegedly Rapes His Friend’s 7-Yr-Old Deaf and Dumb In Anambra

Police operatives attached to 3-3 Division in Anambra State, Saturday, announced the arrest of one Ifeanyi Atogu, 46, of Ofenta Nsugbe in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of his friend’s seven-year-old deaf and dumb daughter.

SP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement made available to THE WHISTLER in Awka, said the suspect was arrested on 24/9/2020, adding that the victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed by a medical doctor.

According to him, “The suspect has voluntarily confessed to the crime, and attributed his act to devil’s influence and manipulations. The case would be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for investigation as directed by the commissioner of police, CP John B.Abang, after which the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.”
