Man, 60, Defiles Nine-Year-Old Girl In Anambra

One Okafor Ndubuisi, 60 years of age, living at Sun Rise Estates, Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi LGA of Anambra State, was Sunday arrested by the police operatives in Anambra State for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old minor.

THE WHISTLER gathered in Awka that he was arrested by police operatives attached to 3-3 Division at about 2:30pm following a tip-off.

The Anambra State police public relations officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, told newsmen that the suspect had on the same date and on different occasions allegedly defiled the nine-year-old-girl in his room, adding that the police detectives visited the scene while the traumatised victim had been taken to the hospital for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State commissioner of police, CP John B. Abang, has directed that the case be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, Awka, for discreet investigations after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
