The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Tope Abiola, confirmed the death of the student to journalists.

“The school sympathises with the the parent of the deceased, her friends and mates. It is not easy to nurse a child to that level and died on the last day she completed her last paper of the HND programme. We commiserate with the family. We pray that God will give the parent the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. It is very disheartening and painful that she suddenly die like that after passing through rigorous academic efforts.”
