Manchester Bombing: Three Men Arrested In Connection With Attack

British Police on Wednesday arrested three men in connection with the suicide bombing attack in Manchester that claimed 22 lives and injured 59 others.

Another 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, the CNN reports.

An attacker killed scores and injured many others after he blew himself up at the end of an Ariana Grande concert in the English city of Manchester on Monday night.

The man behind the deadliest attack in Britain since 2005 London bombings, is a 22-year-old Salman Abedi, a British-born national of Libyan descent, British Home Secretary Amber Rudd said Tuesday.

Rudd confirmed in an interview with the BBC that Abedi was on the radar of intelligence services and that he had recently returned to the UK from Libya.

Rudd said that it was “likely, possible, that he wasn’t doing this on his own.”

Prime Minister Theresa May announced Tuesday night that Britain’s threat level had been raised from “severe” to “critical,” and warned that a “further attack may be imminent.”

“All acts of terrorism are cowardly…but this attack stands out for its appalling sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent, defenseless children and young people who should have been enjoying one of the most memorable nights of their lives,” May said Tuesday outside her Downing Street office in London.

“The attempt to divide us met countless acts of kindness that brought people closer together,” the Prime Minister added.
