Seun Kuti, the youngest son of legendary Afro Beat originator, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has said that late South African President, Nelson Mandela, should be blamed for xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in his country.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Seun slammed South Africans for bullying Nigerians living in their country, adding that Mandela forgot to tell his people to embrace blacks while he thought them to love whites.

“Hey Black South Africans, aren’t you ashamed of yourselves? Has your spirit of revolution completely destroyed by your rudderless ANC to the extent that you have become cowards who bully fellow Africans? Fellow Brothers?” he wrote.

“Ok answer me this. If every Nigerian is deported out of South Africa there will be no more crime in South Africa? There will be no more injustice and inequality?

“Mandela once again thanks for your rainbow nation. Thanks for teaching your people to love whites but forgot to tell them to embrace blacks.”

Meanwhile, Nigerians, on Thursday, stormed the Abuja head office of South African-owned Telecommunications Company in Nigeria, MTN, to protest the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

The protesters reportedly left valuables destroyed, forcing the company to temporarily shut down the branch.
