“Under the 1st phase of this mass metering Program which means customers within Adamawa, Borno, Taraba and Yobe states can look forward to getting these meters immediately.”

According to him, the initiative is aimed at significantly reducing the Aggregate Technical, Commercial and Collection losses which has had a negative impact on the revenue stream of the DisCos and also improve electricity supply to Nigerians.

He said, “I also like to call on customers to desist from tampering with electricity meters. This is not only to improve the revenue of DisCos and the Electricity industry, but more importantly for the safety of all customers.

“Finally, Yola DisCos and every other DisCo within the country must employ an effective communication strategy to ensure customers are carried along through this process.”
