MASSOB Leader Slams APGA Over Bianca Ojukwu’s Loss At Party’s Senatorial Primary

The leader of the Movement of the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Ralf Uwazuruike, has berated the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) over Mrs Bianca Ojukwu’s loss at the party’s Anambra South senatorial primary election that held on Wednesday.

Bianca, who is the widow of late Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, had lost at the primary poll to businessman Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

Reacting to the development on Friday, Uwazuruike criticized APGA for allegedly being undemocratic in the conduct of the primary election.

“APGA wants to use late Ojukwu’s name and reputation to win election but they don’t want any member of his family to be part of the party,” said the MASSOB leader.

“It is a great injustice for not giving Bianca Ojukwu automatic ticket for the election and they have meted injustice to the widow.

“APGA can’t win election in 2019 because they have derailed from its symbol and the only time it won election in Nigeria was when I and my followers participated fully.

“Now that they don’t want any member of late Ojukwu to be part of them, I will not support the party in 2019,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Ifeatu Okoye, has refuted claims that the party was unfair in conducting the senatorial primary election.
