Messi May Never Beat Ronaldo In International Men’s Goal Record 

Lionel Messi and Christiana Ronaldo have for over a decade dominated men football with the duo scoring 169 goals combined in their national team outfit.

Messi, 32, who flies the Argentina national team colour Since debuting for Argentina in 2005, has scored 70 goals in 137 international appearances.

Messi with this needs 29 international goals to equal Ronaldo’s record and 39 goals behind the record holder Iran legend Ali Daei who scored a record of 109 goals in his international career.

Messi who has been argued to be the finest player in football history needs an average of 30 international game with him scoring at least a goal to reach 100 goals to beat Ronaldo’s goal tally.

 He also needs to score at least 4 goals in 3 matches in 30 international games to score 40 more goals to beat Daei’s 109 goals.

Meanwhile, Portugal legend, Cristiano Ronaldo has netted 99 goals in 164 appearances for Portugal since his debut on 20 August 2003, with just 10 goals behind Daei’s 109 goals.

Ronaldo, 34, increased his goal tally to 99 in a victory over Luxemburg that saw Portugal qualify for Euro 2020.

Ronaldo has scored 31 goals in UEFA Euro qualifyers, Friendlies 17, UEFA European Championship 9, UeFA Nations League 3, FIFA World Cup Qualification 30, FIFA World Cup 7 and FIFA Confederations Cup 2 totaling 99 as at November 19.

Ronaldos chances of setting new record in international football is high as he may have more matches to play for Portugal.
