The former PDP spokesman was driven to the court in an ambulance with number plate, 44Q 20FG, and wheeled into the court room.

But the judge, Okong Abang, had to adjourn the matter till March 15, due to the condition of the defendant.

After the matter was adjourned, Metuh was taken to an ambulance of the National Hospital, Abuja, waiting outside the courtroom.

Metuh was absent when the case was heard in court last week, with his counsel, Onyeachi Ikpeazu (SAN), pleading with the court that his client could not appear due to illness.

He was said to have been admitted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

But both Abang and the prosecutor reportedly questioned the authenticity of the claim, with the judge ordering the defendant to appear in court or risk being arrested.
