Metuh’s Trial: DSS Bows To Pressure, Produces Dasuki In Court

Sequel to an order of the Federal High Court in Abuja, the Department of State Services, DSS, has produced the detained former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, as a witness in the ongoing trial of a former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Olisa Metuh.
As reported by the Punch, Dasuki was brought to the Abuja Federal High Court ahead of the commencement of the trial at about 9:00am on Wednesday.

He was dressed in a light blue attire.

Recall that on Tuesday, Metuh’s lawyers asked the court to order an arrest of the Director-General of the DSS, Lawal Daura, for failing to produce the ex-NSA in court.

However, the presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang, ruled out the motion, saying that he could not yet conclude that Mr Daura deliberately flouted the court order.

Metuh is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering.

He was adjudged to have received the sum of N400 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser headed by Dasuki in 2015.
