Meanwhile, senators on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have maintained their resolve not to participate in the confirmation of former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

It was learnt that Immediately Saraki announced adjournment, members of the PDP caucus in the Senate went into a closed-door meeting.

During the brief meeting, the senators decided that they would maintain that position in today’s confirmation exercise.

It was also learnt that the PDP vowed to withdraw their support for senate president Bukola Saraki if he allows Rotimi Amaechi to be confirmed as Minister.

Recall that Senators of the PDP caucus had refused to participate in the screening of Amaechi, in protest against the fact that they had just received the report of the Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee on allegations of fraud against him, and did not have sufficient time to study the report.
