Morocco King Mohammed VI Calls Buhari

According to a series of tweets on the official Twitter handle of the Presidency, the King, thanked President Buhari for Nigeria’s support in returning Morocco to the African Union and notified him of Morocco’s request to join the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The two leaders also discussed the current stage of the Morocco-Nigeria Atlantic crude oil pipeline project.

Recall that in December 2016, King Mohammed VI visited Nigeria, with the visit overseeing the signing of several strategic agreements between both countries. The Agreements covered Fertilizer produce, Marine Fisheries Cooperation, Energy and Bilateral Air Services.

The Presidency explained that the Fertilizer Agreement has resulted in flag-off of a Presidential Fertilizer Initiative that will produce 1 million tonnes in 2017.
