‘My Father, Festus Oluwayi, Is The Soldier Captured By Boko Haram’ – Best Oluwayi
One Best Oluwayi has come out to say that his father is the soldier released by the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of the Boko Haram which has been waging war against Nigeria especially in the North East.
“In the just released video by the Boko Haram/ ISWAP, my father is the soldier seen captured by Boko Haram..this incident happened on the 30th of August,2018…

Nothing yet from the army as per is whereabouts,” Best wrote in a post shared by Military Life Nigeria, a group highlighting issues of the military on the frontlines.
“This is my father (the soldier who was seen in the later part of the video released yesterday by the Boko Haram.
“He is WO(Warrant Officer) Festus Oluwayinka!!”
Boko Haram overran the 157 Task Force Battalion in last Sunday’s attack on a Metele army base in Borno with over 100 soldiers and officers dead and about 150 unaccounted for.
