National Hospital Discharges Separated Conjoined Twins Alive
The management of the National Hospital Abuja, having separated a conjoined twins, have discharged them alive to their parents on Tuesday.
Nigeria’s federal ministry of health disclosed this via an official tweet recently.

Conjoined twins is a delicate situation in which an unborn identical twins are joined in the womb of their mother, and are born physically connected.
Medically, pregnancy with conjoined twins is complex and greatly increases the risk of serious complications for them and their mother, due to their anatomy.
The minister of health, Osagie Ehanire, who witnessed the official discharge, lauded the medical team of the hospital for recording such medical feat.

The excited parents named the kids, ‘Goodness’ and ‘Mercy’ after an intensive surgical process that lasted for sixteen months.
