Netflix Buys Another Nigerian Movie

Following in the footsteps of Genevieve Nnaji’s ‘Lionheart,’ another Nigerian movie Chief Daddy’ is set to make its Netflix debut.

According to the film streaming platform, Chief Daddy will be available for streaming on March 15, 2019.

‘Chief Daddy’, a directorial work of Niyi Akinmolayan is a Nigerian comedy film produced by EbonyLife Films, starring Funke Akindele, Patience Ozokwor, Nkem Owoh, Falz, Kate Henshaw, MI and Richard Mofe-Damijo.

The movie which grossed N332, 899,645 Million since its release to cinemas, tells the story of billionaire industrialist Chief Beecroft, a flamboyant benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and assorted mistresses. Chief lived largely like there’s no tomorrow, until the day he dies suddenly and the ‘bullion van’ stops.
