New NNPC GMD, Other Appointees To Resume Office July 8th

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the new Group Managing Director for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Mele Kolo Kyari and the newly appointed Chief Operating Officers (COOs) to resume office, 8th July 2019.

Except for COO, corporate services Mr. Farouk Garba, whose current occupant, Malam Isa Muhammad Inuwa is statutorily retiring on 28th June 2019.

Buhari advised Kyari and his new board members to work with the current occupiers of the various offices till 7th July to ensure a smooth transition.

This directive was contained in a press release issued by the NNPC Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs, Mr.Ndu Ughamadu, on Thursday in Abuja.

The newly appointed COOs are:

1. Mr. Roland Onoriode Ewubare (S/South) – COO Upstream

2. Engr. Mustapha Yinusa Yakubu (N/ Central) – COO Refining & Petrochemicals

 3. Engr. Yusuf Usman (N/East) – COO, Gas & Power

4.    Ms. Lawrencia Nwadiabuwa Ndupu (S/East), COO Ventures

5.   Mr. Umar Isa Ajiya (N/West) – Chief Financial Officer

6.   Engr. Adeyemi Adetunji (S/West) – COO, Downstream

 7.   Mr. Farouk Garba Said (N/West) – COO, Corporate Services.

Kyari would be the 19th Group Managing Director of the National Oil Company.

Under his watch, the Crude Oil Marketing Division recorded noticeable transformation in the management and sales of various Nigeria’s crude oil grades via an infusion of transparency and automation of the processes.

In the last 27 years, he had traversed the entire value chain of the Petroleum Industry, with exceptional records of performance.
