New WAEC Result: Buhari Gets One A1, F9, Four Credits

The new attestation and confirmation of school certificate issued to President Muhmmadu Buhari by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Friday has shown that the president earned one A1, four credits and one F9 in his result.

The Presidency had earlier announced that WAEC, which issues academic school-certificate qualification to candidates who successfully complete its exams, had presented President Buhari with the attestation certificate at the State House.

What was surprising however was the conspicuous absence of mathematics in the certificate presented to the President.

The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Mr Bashir Ahmed, had tweeted pictures of Buhari receiving the certificate from officials of the examination body at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Present at the Villa to witness the certificate presentation to President Buhari was the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu.

The President’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, had also tweeted about the certificate saying, “WAEC presents attestation certificate and confirmation of school cert result to President Buhari. What will the naysayers say next?”

Meanwhile, THE WHISTLER reports that the issuance of the WAEC attestation certificate to President Buhari came against the backdrop of threats by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to head to court over failure by the 2019 presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to present his academic credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as legally required.
