NFF To Pocket N212million Annually From FIFA

As part of its support for sports development, world football governing body, FIFA, has agreed reward member nations $US5 million per 4year cycle from $US1.6 million.

This development is part of the ‘FIFA Forward Football Development program’, which aims to ‘significantly increase financial support for member associations and football development.

As part of the resolve, the NFF and other associations will now receive $750,000 per year for football projects such as competitions, pitches, and women’s football development.

Member associations will also receive $500,000 per year for running costs in areas such as administration and governance, with Football confederations such as CAF, UEFA, AFC, etc also receiving a mouthwatering $40m per four year cycle.

However, according to FIFA, the implementation of this monetary programme will commence from June 1, 2017
