NIGER: Police Begin Aerial Search Of Kidnapped Victims As IGP Deploys More Officers To State

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has deployed more operatives of the Force to facilitate the rescue of kidnapped persons in Niger State.

Recall that about 42 students and staff of Government Science College Kagara, Niger State, were said to have been abducted by gunmen on Wednesday.

Barely 24 hours after the school attack, some assailants reportedly attacked some communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state and abducted no fewer than 10 persons.

The Force PRO, Frank Mba, disclosed in a statement on Thursday that IGP Adamu ordered more deployment of policemen to the state to rescue the abducted persons.

Mba said the police would employ the use of aerial surveillance to rescue of the victims.
