Nigeria Must Start The Process Of Healing – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary has presented an opportunity to Nigerians to do away with old perceptions and start a process of healing.

Buhari stated this on Thursday during his independence speech broadcast to Nigerians.

According to him, Nigerians must destroy the stereotype of seeing themselves coming from one part of the country before seeing themselves as Nigerians for proper integration.

He noted that he was convinced that if the people pursued their aspirations together, the country would be able to achieve whatever it desired.

The President called on Nigerians to work together to sustain a democratic culture, support the enthronement of the rule of law as well as imbibe tolerance in diversity.
