The Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Gas Limited, Ed Ubong has suggested construction of more industries in the core gas producing states in the country as a way of bridging the energy deficit being currently experienced in the country..
Ubong said this on Tuesday while proffering ways to move the energy sector forward at the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) in Abuja.
In the same vein, the General Manager of Gas at Seplate Petroleum, Okechukwu Mba noted that gas remains the most viable, efficient and clean way to provide electricity in Nigeria.
An official of the Ministry of Petroleum , Justice Derefaka also said If the full gas potential of the country is unlocked “we could create 3000 direct and indirect jobs for Nigerians.”
