Nigeria, South Africa Find New Rapport As Buhari Says Both Countries Share ‘One Destiny’

Presidents Muhammadu Buhari has described Nigeria’s relationship with South Africa as a ‘win-win,’ adding that the two countries are full of potential and promise.

Buhari, who visited the country since Wednesday to address the recent xenophobic attack and well-being of Nigerians in the country, thanked his counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa for inviting him and his delegation.  

He said, “The last two days have demonstrated strongly the importance of keeping on the same page as we march forward, hand in hand, as one people with a shared vision and one destiny.”

He said on his twitter handle, that the two largest economies in Africa, can share experiences, invest and cooperate in many areas.

“Ours is a relationship full of potential and promise and this can only be a win-win for our peoples and for Africa at large,” he added.

Part of the high points of the visit was the sealing of 32 bilateral agreements and memorandum of understanding, covering trade and industry, science and technology, defence, agriculture and energy by the two leaders.
