Nigerian Breaks Guinness World Record

Nigerian ball juggler Harrison Chinedu has broken a Guinness Book of World Records.

He became the first man to travel the “farthest distance walked with a ball on the head”.

The Nigerian trekked a distance of 48.04km in six hours, 15 minutes, , by walking from the Redeemed Christian Church of God camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to the National Stadium in Surulere.

After which he was still required to run around the stadium a total of 22 laps to break and set a new record.

He beat the record set by Indian soldier, Naib Subedar Azad Singh in Ball-Balancing in 2014, who travelled a distance of 45.64km.

“I am happy that the scare gave way immediately to enable me to continue the journey unhindered,” Chinedu said.

“I thank the Rafiu Oladipo Sports Foundation for encouraging me both financially and otherwise and also made contacts with the Guinness Book of World Records office to ensure the event took place.”
