An approval has been made for the concessioning of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo revealed this on Monday at the 5th edition of the Presidential Quarterly Business Forum.
Osinbajo, at the event which held at the State House, Abuja, stated that the approval was made at the last Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
“I am pleased to say that the federal executive council (FEC) has approved the concessioning of the Lagos and Abuja airports,” the Vice President said.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirki, had previously assured Nigerians of transparency in the process of concessioning the airports.
“We will ensure that Nigerians are given priority in getting jobs in the aviation sector. We will give adequate time for the airlines to prepare themselves but for sure, we will ensure that it happens soonest,” Sirika had said.
