Nigerians Abuse Femi Adesina Over Reckless Comment On Power Supply

And in a bid to stave off blame from the government he said: “If you are crying that you are in darkness, go and fight vandals.”

The comment has not resonated well with Nigerians, who have drawn similarity between it and Minister of Petroleum Ibe Kachikwu’s ” I was not trained as a magician”. Kachikwu spoke last week when confronted with the lingering fuel scarcity, which he said may not be solved until May. Kachikwu had some days earlier said the scarcity would disappear in 48 hours.

Adesina tried to rationalise unprecedented power outage, since Minister Raji Fashola increased the power tariff, astronomically.

Within hours of his comment, Femi Adesina became the hottest topic on twitter, with some sympathetic posts saying he was brutal with truth.

Here are some of the Tweets about his Channels TV statement:

So PMB planted crazy entertainers like Femi Adesina, GarbaShehu, Lai Mohammed, Dabirietcto run Nigeria with their wagging mouth. Sickenin

Femi Adesina’s position might as well be cancelled totally and I would feel better about not having to listen to poop.
