Popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, is under criticism on social media for allegedly deleting a rape story which was posted on her blog.
According to reports, two boys identified as Chima George and Segun Razak were arrested for allegedly drugging and raping a 23 year old girl in Lagos, Nigeria.
The duo were accused of taking the girl to a club on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019, and taking turns to rape her after they noticed the substance they mixed in her drink had already had an effect on her.
Ikeji had on Thursday posted a video of the horrific incidence on her blog but was later alleged to have pulled it down.
In reaction, Nigerians took to social media to criticize her actions, saying she’s being unfair as there have been cases where she was begged to pull down other empathetic stories but she refused.
Below are the reactions:
The people who report Rape Accusations here on the TL have been Vindicated today. The Police saw a rape video & released the Rapists. Linda Ikeji that will rather die than delete stories deleted it. Video deleted, Rapists Free'd, The rape victim suffers double tragedy ?♂️?

The loudest Nigerian female voice on social media with the biggest platform has just helped to suppress a rape story and delete the story off her blog.
Linda Ikeji proves repeatedly that she’s an opportunist and a faux woman rights activist whose conscience can be bought. Shame.

So Linda Ikeji can actually be asked to take down a story and she went on and actually removed the rape story?
But some of her intellectually challenged fans will converge and form voltron for her and remind you that she has money and we don’t.
A Poverty mentality is a disease.

Linda Ikeji that they will be begging to bring down stories
I remember the one she posted of a guy that died, his family had not heard, they kept begging her to bring it down she didn't
And that's just one of several cases
So she can now bring down this rapist story… Trash

Twitter is the place. Stop saying otherwise. Didn't you hear that the culprits were released, the video deleted (by the police) and Linda Ikeji also took it down? But do you realize the victim has gotten pro bono lawyers helping out? Do you even know why Twitter is important??
