Nigerians Protest Xenophobic Attacks At MTN Office, Forces Office To Shut Down

The protesters angrily shut down the building, while chanting anti-xenophobic attacks song during their demonstration.

It was learnt that some windows of the office which is located at Maitama, were broken and staff were evacuated through the back door.

Earlier in the week, there were reports of xenophobic attacks against some Nigerians resident in the country.

Speaking with newsmen, the protesters said they decided to stage the protest following the recent xenophobic attacks in which some Nigerians were physically attacked.

The protesters further stated that the protest will continue tomorrow, Friday, until the South African government takes the strongest measures to protect the lives and property of Nigerians living in the country.
