The fate of inbound passengers who require to present evidence of negative Covid-19 test result upon arrival to Nigeria, alongside evidence of a prebooked repeat test (Only bookable via the NCDC NITP Portal) remains unknown.

Further probe showed that the webserver behind the NCDC website/portal is unreachable at press time. With some users reporting that they receive the error “Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”

The unavailability of Nigeria International Travel Portal poses a serious challenge that will have a far-reaching ramification for Nigeria’s efforts towards containing the spread of Covid-19, as the portal continues to be unavailable for outbound and inbound passengers.
