President of the United States of America, Donald Trump will speak with President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday afternoon.
This was disclosed by Africa correspondent for The Globe, Geoffrey York via his twitter handle.
York who said Trump will speak with Buhari by 3:45pm Nigerian time in celebration of ‘Africa day’, added that he will thereafter speak with South Africa’s president, Jacob Zuma, by 5:10pm.
On his twitter page @Geoffreyyork, he wrote: “Today is “Africa day” for Donald Trump. He speaks by phone to Nigerian president Buhari at 3:45 pm (Lagos time); then speaks to Jacob Zuma.
“Trump is scheduled to speak by phone to Zuma today at 5:10 pm, after speaking to Buhari first.
“Buhari’s phone call with Trump today will be fascinating; many Nigerians frustrated that Buhari has been gone from Nigeria for over 3 weeks.
“Nigerians, having heard almost nothing from Buhari for 24 days, are wondering how Donald Trump will even locate him for the phone call today,” he wrote.
Recall that President Buhari, who travelled on a medical vacation, has been in the UK for no fewer than 24 days.
His long vacation had provoked speculations from Nigerians at home and abroad, who stated that the president was dead after he denied pleas to address the nation from the UK.
The telephone conversation will however clear doubts on the president true state of health.
