Nigeria’s Vice President Celebrates One Year Of Surviving Helicopter Crash

Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has marked his first year anniversary of escaping  unhurt after his helicopter crash-landed while on the presidential campaign trail of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.

THE WHISTLER had reported how the helicopter conveying Osinbajo and his crew members crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State, on February 2, 2019.

The vice president’s wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, and his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Laolu Akande, shared some posts on their social media pages to thank God for preserving his life. 

Akande wrote: “Today is exactly one year after the Kogi Miracle! Just reminds me, God sent us here! The VP & the team on board once again give all praises and glory to the good LORD!  Thanks to all well-wishers. “For this God, is our God for ever & ever: He will be our guide even unto the end.”

The vice president had said in a speech he delivered shortly after the crash:

“We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives from the incident that just happened. Everyone of us is safe and no one is maimed.

“God has kept us safe and alive, delivered us from death so we can do more for our people and country,” he said..
