NNPC GMD, Baru To Speak At NOG Conference 2018

Dr Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has been billed to speak at the 17th Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition (NOG) 2018.

Dr Baru is expected to speak on the future growth plans and priorities of the NNPC at the NOG Conference 2018.

This year’s conference is slated to hold from July 02 – July 05, 2018, at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja.

The NOG 2018 which is themed ‘Driving Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Industry Towards Sustained Economic Development and Growth’ will focus attention on the growth and development of Nigeria’s hydrocarbon industry.

According to information available on NOG’s official website, no less than 700 industry professionals are expected to discuss new viable business opportunities in the oil and gas industry.

Among topics to be discussed by the oil and gas experts are:

“Investing in the future of Nigeria for sustained economic development and growth, Positioning Nigeria as the preferred destination in Africa for investment through legislation and policy, Maximising Nigeria’s gas potential and Harnessing the opportunities in Nigeria’s downstream sector”.

Others topics are:

“Unlocking Nigeria’s investment potential, The independent producers’ role in the future of upstream production and Innovative strategies – combating crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism”.

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu had during last year’s conference described the NGO as:

“an important event in the Nigeria oil and gas industry calendar. As such, I am delighted to participate with you today in discussing the current state of our industry and discuss the roadmap for moving the industry forward.”
