NNPC Will Achieve Its Objectives Through Commitment – Kyari

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, has said with perseverance and dedication from members of staff, the national oil firm can scale any height.

Kyari said this while giving a pep talk to staff of the NNPC at a townhall meeting that held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The GMD made the remark against the backdrop of some of the challenges facing the current NNPC management in its efforts to position the firm as a world-class oil and gas company.

“Companies that go to space get there not because they are favourd by gravity, but by their commitment to defy it,” Kyari told staff of the national oil firm.

The GMD had last month reaffirmed NNPC’s commitment to improving its service delivery by ensuring more efficiency, openness, transparency and prudence in its operations.

Kyari expressed confidence that through determination and prudence, the oil firm could become profitable and meet the expectations of investors in 2021.

“We now know it is possible to achieve our target if we improve our efficiency and reduce our costs, focus on our production choices, carefully select the assets that would work for us,” he had said.
