‘No More APC In 2019’, Campaign Organization Protests El-Rufai’s Failed Promises

For allegedly reneging on his promise to empower them, youth under the ‘El-Rufai Campaign Organization Group and Continuity Project’ stormed the Kaduna State House of Assembly to protest against Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The angry youth were said to have gathered on Tuesday in front of Lugard Hall singing “No more APC in 2019”.

The group, during the protest, told journalists that the Kaduna APC-led government has formed the habit of always going back on its word.

Secretary of the campaign group, Sadeeq Shuaibu said while Governor El-Rufai on his part tries as much to keep to his promises, his aides have been the major stumbling block.

“His excellency has said that he would make Kaduna state great again, but those who are to assist the governor in making the state a better one were telling lies and deceiving the youths.

“Although some of the youths who joined the campaign prior to election are employed as traffic workers and some are empowered to start businesses, the crews and sailors of governor El-Rufai have side-lined some of us.

“Most of the youths you see protesting today were stabbed and maltreated during election, but here they are with no job and assistance.

“We want the executive governor of Kaduna State to know that whatever plans he has for the youths never reaches it destination, it never goes down to the youths, instead those working under his cabinet are reaping the benefit either taking it to their families or friends,” Shuaibu said.
