NPFL: Olarewaju Vows To Take Enyimba To Greater Heights
Enyimba have confirmed the appointment of Yema Olarewaju as their new coach ahead of the 2024-25 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Olarewaju signed a one-year contract to replace Finidi George as the permanent coach of the club after the former Super Eagles star was given the national team assignment in April.
Olarewaju, who was an assistant to Finidi was handed the job on an interim basis to see out the remainder of the 2022-23 NPFL season.
He has now been tasked with restoring the fortunes of the Aba giants, who struggled to defend their NPFL title last season.
Yema is excited about the opportunity to manage Enyimba full-time, and he has promised to lead the team to greater heights.
He said, “I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful to the club’s chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, for the trust he has placed in me. We’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to lead the team to even greater heights.”
