NYSC: Corpers Give Buhari ‘Thank You’ Card For Payment Of N33,000 Monthly Allowance 

Some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) paid an appreciation visit to President Muhammadu Buhari over the increase in  monthly allowance from 19,800 to 33,000.

Special adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this on his Facebook page on Thursday.

THE WHISTLER reports that the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Shuaibu Ibrahim had said that the federal government had approved the sum of thirty-three thousand naira as monthly allowance for corps members.

The website observed that corps members across the nation received phone alerts of the new allowance last week, leading to many cheering posts on social media.

According to the media aide, Corper Yinka Kolawole, Corper Aisha Umar Bello, Corper Agatha Nwakego and Corper Tim Abasiandikan Udo, in company of the NYSC DG and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, presented a card to the president in their “thank you” visit.
