Paris Saint-Germain has fired coach Laurent Blanc as manager of the club.

In a statement released on Monday, the French club said talks led to an agreement, that “preserves the interests” of both Blanc and the club, with assistant coach Jean-Louis Gasset and physical trainer Philippe Lambert also expected to leave.

The Frenchman who led the club to back-to-back domestic trebles in the past two seasons was not able to save his job partly due to quarterfinal exits in the Champions League in each of his three campaigns in charge.

“During his three years at the club, Laurent Blanc won 11 trophies, including two national quadruples, and left a significant mark on the great history of Paris Saint-Germain.”
