The Minister of Environment, Mrs. Amina Mohammed has claimed that popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo declined a request to perform at the flag-off of the Ogoni Cleanup held in Rivers State late last week.
Venting her frustration, the minister took to her twitter account on Sunday to slam the West African Idol winner.
While appreciating everyone who made the inaugural event a success, Mrs. Mohammed added that the singer turned down her invitation to perform at the occasion.
The minister said: “A big thank you to all who contributed to the success of Ogoni cleanup launch. I only wish Timi Dakolo accepted our invitation to perform.”

Timi, who is a native of Bayelsa State, is said to be a strong supporter of former president Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party.
He is also one of the Nigerian vocalists alongside Tuface Idibia, Waje, and Patoranking currently coaching the maiden edition of the Airtel sponsored show, The Voice Nigeria.
