Ogun Guber: APC’s Dapo Abiodun Coasts To Victory, Thanks God, Supporters

The Ogun governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun, has taken to social media to thank God and his supporters for his victory in the March 9 gubernatorial election that held in the state.

“Unspeakable Joy. Limitless Happiness.We are GRATEFUL to GOD Almighty and the good people of Ogun State,” Abiodun said in a tweet ahead of his official declaration as governor-elect of Ogun by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Although collation of the results by INEC is still ongoing, the APC candidate appears to have defeated Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and who is the anointed candidate of incumbent Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

From results declared so far, Abiodun led in Odeda, Ijebu East, Sagamu, Odogbolu and Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta South local governments.

In Odeda, he polled 8030 votes, while the APM candidate got 6454 votes. PDP came home with 1041 votes. In Ijebu east, Abiodun got 10,426 almost doubling APM Votes of 5147. PDP came second with 5296 votes.

In Odogbolu, the APC candidate, who will soon be declared governor-elect polled 12,529 votes, while APM candidate got 7516 votes. PDP paled out here with 3418..

In Ijebu-Ode, Abiodun polled his highest majority of votes so far declared. He got 13,234 votes, while PDP got 7289 votes. The APM candidate got 4401 votes, according to the results declared by INEC.
