Okorocha Tells South East: ‘Behave Well This Time Or Suffer Politically’

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said if Ndigbo does not want to “suffer politically,” they must “behave well” in the coming general elections by voting wisely.

Okorocha said the South East must ensure they don’t repeat the mistake they made during the Civil War “when Igbo went to war without knowing what they were going into.”

The Governor stated this on Tuesday while addressing journalists at the Government House in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

He said there is currently a political battle in the country where some forces are working tirelessly to displace President Muhammadu Buhari from office.

Okorocha cautioned that unless Igbos vote wisely by re-electing President Buhari, any other President asides Buhari would colonize them systematically.

“There is a new political battle in Nigeria, similar to the civil war when Igbo went to war without knowing what they were going into.

“The same war is coming but in a different dimension and it requires intelligence; if the Igbo people do not behave well this time, they will suffer politically,” Okorocha said.
