Old Students Of Ewatto Grammar School Mark 40th Anniversary

This year marked the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Ewatto Grammar School, Esan, Edo State, and its alumni have announced September 29 to mark the celebration.

The alumni, Ewatto Grammar School Old Student Association (EGOSA), said the reunion will offer its members the avenue to financially support the school which is reportedly in a dilapidated state at the moment.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Horatius Egua, President of EGOSA, Professor GRA Okogun said the ceremony will hold at Ewatto.

The union has named Chief (Dr) Leemon Ikpea of Lee Engineering as Chairman, and the Onojie of Ewatto, His Royal Highness Sylvester.O Ikhumhen, as father of the day for the occasion.

Okogun said of the reunion, “We are glad that after 40 years of the establishment of the school, we are able to come together to apraise the progress of the school and see where we can join hands with the government to be able to upgrade the standard of learning in the school which produced all of us.”

Ewatto Grammar School was established in 1977 and has produced great men and women in different fields of life.
