Fast trending Nollywood movie Omo Ghetto, has now become the highest-grossing movie of all time in Nigeria
This was disclosed in a statement by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), revealing that the 2020 Nigerian gangster comedy film has so far grossed N468,036,300 after holding the number one spot for its third week at row.
The movie co-directed by Actress Funke Akindele-Bello popularly known as Jenifer has broken a four-year record which was formally held by Kemi Adetiba “The Wedding Party”.

The news is however shocking, as it comes amidst a pandemic that crippled the film industry for months.
The movie was released on christmas day 25th December 2020, and is a sequel to the 2010 trilogy Omo Ghetto, which follows the chaotic life of Shalewa aka Lefty (Funke Akindele)
The comedy movie stars Funke Akindele in the dual role of Ayomide and Lefty, Tina Mba, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello, Chioma Akpotha as chummy choko, Bimbo Thomas as Nikky, Nancy Isime
Other were Eniola Badmus as busty, Alex Ekubo, Mercy Aigbe, Deyemi Okanlawon, Zubby Michael, Timini Egbuson, Naira Marley(cameo appearance), Akah Nnani as Mario, Ayo Makun, Yemi Alade, and Blossom Chukwujekwu.
